Culinary still life illustrations for the cookbook Theater of the Kitchen, a collection of recipes and essays about food, techniques and cooking fundamentals.
As its author didn’t want the traditional guided cookbook -in fact he recommends his readers not to strictly follow the recipe steps but their intuition and personal taste- there are not any photos of the finished dishes but this food illustrations and still lifes with the main ingredients from each recipe.
From top to bottom: squid ink linguini with swordfish ragout, lamb with fresh herb dijon crust and mint gelée, and pappardelle with duck confit and pomegranate.
