Commissioned illustration
Client: Kérastase / Vogue Spain Magazine
Publishing date: September 2017 (issue #355)
Editorial fashion illustration for Vogue magazine, commissioned by Kérastase, one of the brands within the L’Oréal portfolio.
Sometimes brands need to advertise their newest innovations in magazines even without an official picture of their finished product. That’s what happened at Kérastase, when they had to promote one of their latests products (a smart hair brush) so ahead in time they didn’t even have any pictures of the finished thing. So, they asked me to do an interpretation of it, of course based in what would be the real thing, for Vogue magazine.
Although I knew how the product looked like I decided to draw a beauty illustration scene, to set the mood for the page and match the text on page. I presented them with two different choices that were combined in the end to look like this.
